Can't access GPS service menu even though....
New to me X5 4.4 (2006, 40k miles w/MK4 nav). I burned V32 and it properly loaded and everything else works fine. I must admit, newb that I am, that I wanted try out the bird's eye perspective! I roll to settings and then hold the menu button but nothing happens? Prior to v32 (v26) I had to hold it for only about 5-10 seconds to see the gps service menu. Am I doing something wrong? I've held it for 10, even 60 seconds and it wont work?? Should I revert back to V31 (or earlier)? I searched and searched and I didn't see much on this....I'm confused? Am I forgetting a step? Thank you very much. Joe ps...will the 2009.1 map dvd work on this system? |

I don't know but I did it a couple of days ago. Press menu, scroll to settings, click settings and quickly press and hold menu button. Took about 10 sec for me.

I'm a bonehead.
For those searching in the future...you have to click INTO settings first (as opposed to just letting it sit on "settings" being highlighted as I was doing) THEN hold menu. Roy, thanks for opening my mind. 3D perspective is cool. Joe |
