No GPS Signal
I recently bought a 2000 M5 with the MkII GPS and I'm not getting any signal at all. I thought about upgrading the software to V32, but it's indicating 2-1/81 now, which from what I've read here is the last update for the MkII... No satellites are showing active in the display upper right. When I go into the hidden menu, the receiver status is showing RECERR, the PDOP/HDOP/VDOP are all reading zero and Almanac says NO. The map discs I have are dated 2008, but I'm assuming they're compatible so I have to think it's a connection problem or a bad antenna. Can someone recommend some troubleshooting tips or tell me where the GPS antenna is located? Thanks! |

Dead GPS antenna
Under the rear parcel tray lining. Remove back seats, parcel tray lining to access. |

Or maybe antenna cable not fully connected to the nav or the antenna.
