How to find out if i have tv tuner!

ok im trying to find out if i have a tv tuner in my 01 x5...it has the 4:3 navigation installed (plan on upgrading to 16:9 soon)...there is a metal box mounted to the top of my navigation drive behind the left panel in my trunk..is this it?? Also if i dont have one what has to be done to install one after upgrading to the 16:9, and will i be able to connect a dvd player and backup camera to the tv tuner??

If it is installed and functional then the easiest way to tell is to hit the MENU button on the nav screen and if "Television" is listed then you have the TV module. If it isn't listed then it is more than likely not installed.

Physically it is located down in the spare tire well next to the radio module (assuming that it is installed, of course)

All that is involved in installing it is having the TV tuner and a cable that goes between the nav drive and the TV module. If you have the TV module then you can display DVD's and have a backup cam. But viewing TV isn't an option since analog broadcasts are a thing of the past.

You need a seperate audio input either through the tape player or through the cd.
