Range Rover has at least 2 nav systems from 2 completely different suppliers with totally incompatible map formats

BMW has in the last 10 years had 2 different manufacturers and at least 4 or 5 different, non compatible map formats

So you need to be more specific...

For BMW - I'm basically referring to the MK IV USA DVD based system used in the USA that reads the NavTeq "High" discs.

For Land Rover - I'm referring to the DVD based system that is in the current USA Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and LR3 reads their NavTeq DVD discs. If you go to the website to buy the disks (Navteq - Maps for your LandRover Navigation System) you'll see that any Range Rover, Range Rover Sport or LR3 from 2005+ uses the same DVD discs (Product Number: 6H42-10E898-BD) (which are now the 2009-2010 version).

The LR2 apparently uses different DVD discs (Product Number: 6G92-10E898-FE) so I am assuming it has a different system altogether.
