Trying to figure if I need to my BMW Nav Firmware???

Currently I have a 2006 BMW x5 4.4i, the Setting screen shows SW 4-1/71 which translate to MKIV Version 27.1 (I am not mistaken).

On my screen now I don't see POI and not sure if versions after 27.1 have that feature or any new feautres that might be worth performing the upgrade. I checked few posts here but could not find any details on feautres available with V28, V29, V30, V31, or V32...the links to PDF files are dead.

Anyone able to offer some advise?

Thanks,
B

I would be a good idea to go to v32 (well v31 really), as they have bug fixes and upgraded drivers, v31/v32 also allow dual layer reading.

Pretty much all versions are able to read the POI menu and data.

if you are consider that reading DL DVD's is not a feature, quick load of voice files is not relevant, you can let v27, no need for v31

I think that it also has better dynamic route algorithms too.
