In my opinion, it makes no difference whether you are looking at ebay.com, ebay.uk, ebay.de or ebay.whatever. eBay is eBay. What you need to look at are:

1. the feedback history of the seller
2. look at the total deal, including shipping and currency exchange rates
3. make sure the seller ships internationally before bidding
4. protect yourself by paying with a credit card. If things go bad, most credit card companies have some form of protection for fraud.

If youre looking for an OEM Nav system (retrofit) then youre best bet is to go with Rover Active's kit.

Theres no guarantee a European model would work with your X first of all, second you'd be stuck with it, and third, the exchange rate here has been hell over the last year and a half or so....If you do see somthing you want here, (.co.uk) let me know..I could save you a lot on shipping costs...

one thing to note is something I learned today. I bought an MKIV from Holland. I think the computer came out of a 3-series. Some European 3-series cars have a small monochrome nav display instead of the color displays that we have in the US. If you get an MKIV that is meant for the monochrome display, it will not work with a color nav screen. The only way to know for sure which computer it is is by knowing what nav it came from. I hope this all makes sense and is accurate.

There are definately 2 versions of the MkIV for i-bus vehicles. One for color screens such as what is found in the X5, and another for monochrome screen like the one found in certain e46 (3 series) vehicles.
