MK IV to CCC system upgrade

Has anyone upgraded from a MK IV to the newer pro version ?
Just wondering on Cost and Complexity of the Electronics swap ?

As far as I know, it is not reasonably possible to retrofit a MOST Bus-based CCC nav system into an I-Bus-based car.

It has been done by a BMW tech

He made his own PIC and wrote a translator to act as a gateway between the ibus and the other databusses in the vehicle, to the required CAN bus for the CCC

So unless you area software engineer with access to all the right documentation and with the right experience, do not even attempt this.
