MK3 issue.. V32 installed

Hey fellas.. after pouring over posts for quite some time i decided to tackle the upgrade of my software. It has i believe never been done as i was on v13 so upon advise on these pages n not being the most pc savvy guy on the planet i purchased from getbmwparts v32. They werent the clearest to me as i asked if a KeyCD was required to receive no response other than them sending me the upgrade. I installed and of course did require the KeyCD which after reading numerous posts here i did manage to burn it..( cdclone@ 1x speed). I ran that this AM and it SEEMED to work to run normal screen functions but it continues to freeze and shut off and seems to reboot.. AND .. it never recognizes the navigation cd, which is a 2002 cd.. Any ideas fellas? Do i need to burn an earlier update first? Like v17 or 23? I dont really have any other ideas and the local dealer seems lost when i had a conversation w him to just do the upgrade..

hey fellas.. quick note.. i went out n reinstalled the v32 and then put in the KeyCD and it seems to work fine as long as i maintain the KeyCD in the system. When i put the navigation cd in is when it says " pleasewait one moment" and then the system freezes. If i just maintain the KeyCD in all other functions work obviously except navigation. Is this due to the older navigation cd i have? its 2002.. I am presently lookin on ebay. Anyone out there have some they would like to part with? Comon fellas im flyin blind!!

Does it only reboot when you have a map cd in it? Try running it without the disc for a while. If it is stable, chances are you Need a new laser. The same happened to me - unit reboots and spits out disc randomly. New laser mech fixed it.
