MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

What are you looking for as there maybe one already done?

If i burn the file as is using imgburn, everything is fine and there are no errors reported when verifying disk..

If i open the iso file with magiciso, extract the usw_load file and sw_rel.tbl, which are the ones i want to edit. I edit usw_load using navtweak 2,7 and sw_rel.tbl using free hex editor..

After the files are edited, i drag them over to the magiciso window which is still open, and replace the original files.

Then i choose save..

When i then try to burn the iso file, still using imgburn, i get loads of errors when i get to the verify files.. It says something like "comparison failed at lba something"....

After all the errors have been shown, the software claims that the operation was successful, but im not sure i want to trust it..

I discoverd also that if i open the original iso file with magiciso, and save it, without editing any files, i also get the errors during files verify....

Any thoughts.??

You are doing something wrong mate, how big is the new splash as you cant just use any old pic.

I would not use this in a mk3 either as it will probably convert the mode2 into a mode1.

I tested a bit more here..

I burned a v21 without editing. I got one error when verifying.

Then i burned v32 unedited, no errors when verifying.

Finally i burned a v32 edited with magic iso, and the errors are to many to count....

It seems clear that magiciso is in some way are corrupting the files, and not only the ones i edit it seems.

Is there an other way edit the files.?

Ok.

That be great...

Maybe it's just in this house it occurs..

I use the v32 mode2/form1 os.

I edit the sw_rel.tbl file with a hex editor and make a new version number. Not important which, i have tried many..

Then i extract the usw_load file, and load it into navtweak 2,7.

In Navtweak, i choose strings on the top menu, and choose the lng_english and select export. Then i export the english settings to a known location, and then choose lng_deutsch and import the english file...

Then i save the usw_load file. and finally drop the two files back into magiciso, and select save...

Why im doing this you might ask..?

I have a retrofitted nav in a low cluster car. I can not choose english language for the screen, and therefore i want to "trick" the nav into showing menus in english..

Just a suggestion. Why not just go to the dealer
and buy the OS upgrade disk. It's about $9.00 US.
Saves a lot of time and trouble.
