No navigation voice
Basically the sound mutes but no voice is heard through the speakers. I plugged the navigation unit straight into the blue cable coming from the car with no 'jump up loom' and it worked, but when i use the loom no sound comes from the unit, just the tv. I have read here that people are having the exact same issue http://www.xoutpost.com/electronics/...v-voice-2.html Can anybody explain how to fix this issue, and what wires i have to change etc, im pretty confused as to what i need to do, does anybody have a diagram or anything. This is the jump up cable that i purchased http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....#ht_900wt_1139 EDIT: Here are some photos of hows its wired up: ( excuse the poor quality of the photos, taken with phone ) ![]() ![]()

The audio wiring in your adapter harness may not be correct. Try the fixes discussed in these two threads.

Sounds like the 2 wires that plug into the radio module have not been done.
Check the following: On the blue plug (on the mk4) pin 9 (nav audio out +) and pin18 (nav audio out -), should go to the TV modules white plug on pins 3 (nav audio in +) and pin 12 (nav audio in -). From here they go into the radio module (one of the smaller blocks in the big radio plug). bm54 (flat pin), 12 pin white plug (I think) pin 10 (nav/tv audio right), pin 12 (nav/tv audio letf) and pin 12 (nav/tv audio gnd). Also check the black 12 pin plug pin 5 (nav/tv audio +) and pin 11 (nav/tv audio -) Are you getting sound from the TV?

See this article for the proper connections to the radio module - http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/...formation.html

Hi there, i found that pin 18 and pin 9 of the blue connector in the back of the MK3 goes to this large white plug which connects into the car, not into the TV tuner, could this be a problem. Im not sure what that large white connector does. But i think this could be the issue
EDIT: Fixed, it was that plug, not sure where it was going but its all good now
