Test Brand of CD to backup Aus Map
Hope you can help! I've got a an issue where if you put in a non original CD of the Aus Maps it seems to have read errors and keeps on ejecting the disk out. (I have copy the CD using the correct methods as recommended in this forum) Then when i put the original disk back in there's no such problem. I understand that the original is always better produce then the backup. Does anyone here have the same problem or what brand of disk do you use? Ie Sony, TDK or imation to name a few. Thanks, Last edited by renman; 07-09-2010 at 01:47 AM. Reason: edit - Should read Best Brand and not Test |

Your laser is old and weak
It'll work better with stamped discs, as you noticed, because the pressed disc reflects more light. As for copied discs: you have to try and see.... |

As jochen says, warn laser probably.
Use a good quality cd and burn at the slowest rated speed for the disc (if it 4 then use 4 if its 8 then use that). Give that a go.
