Okay, i found out how to do it

Im now burning a dvd +R with only english language

But i tried a 2007 map cd that a guy on a forum here in Norway burned to me, but tne navi wouldnt read it

The cd i use now, is the same as the 2007 Dvd, but in normal CD format.
Im starting to think my dvd reading unit is very bad

And i maby need to change it?
It will read my original DVD from 2003, but when i was in Germany and bought the car, the navi froze on my way home to Norway, and i got it to work after turning ignition of, and remove the cd a few times..
So maybe there is a problem with the dvd reading unit

But will check how it goes with my new 2010 Dvd. Burning it with ultraiso on 4x speed (The lowest my computer supports i think).

Best Regards.
Fredrik

Thumbs up

Well hello!

Just tested the DVD with only English language, works like a charm! So i now have the 2010 map On DVD.. So maybe its not broken anyway

Think I will try the Night mode FW upgrade later, just burned it on a cd (Just hope nothing goes wrong!).

Thank you so much for your help mate!

Glad its working, could be the dvd laser is warn and is giving you problems.

when burning the OS make sure that you burn at the slowest rated speed of the disc.

recommendation

hi,
i'm from germany and my english is not best at all. i'm sorry.

since bmw has released the 2008/2-dvd, it's a dual-layer dvd. it only works with v31 or above. but you've already updated to v32.
so try out this:
burn a dvd-dl, minus not plus, with The Official ImgBurn Website
as slow as possible on one of the following verbatim discs:
DVD-R Dual Layer 4x | Double/Dual Layer - DVD | Verbatim Europe - Data Storage, Computer & Imaging Consumables
DVD-R Dual Layer 8x | Double/Dual Layer - DVD | Verbatim Europe - Data Storage, Computer & Imaging Consumables

it works fine without deleting files and without failures while reading.

i hope my grammer wasn't worst.

best regards.
chris
