DVD Video on OEM Nav screen : some questions
I have done a search, read some articles, but I still have some questions :Assuming I buy the TV module from www.tvonnav.com : 1. Do I have stereo sound from my dvd player ? (alpine 5210) 2. Are there RCA inputs on this TvonNav TV module ? Or how is the connection with my dvd player made? 3. I read some stuff about dismantling some oem connectors and relocate some wires.. Isn't this done by the specific X5 extension harness they are talking about? (ps: I do not have a oem tv module in my car now, just Navigation) Thanks for all the help! Hans |

1) only with the BMW Aux in adapter AND the TV Module
2) No. The RCAs are on the optional cable that connects to the OEM TV module 3) Yes, to the OEM TV module You need the: TV on Nav Video Free Module, plus cable, plus OEM TV module OR if you just want video and not the OEM TV Tuner (this is new and the way I would have gone 2 years ago had it been available as I can add an optional 3rd party TV tuner better than the BMW one) you need the TV on Nav Video Input Solution (and bmw aux input adapter). this route is MUCH cheaper! |

not recommended. the bmw cable does not come populated with the rcas.
if you go oem tv tuner and tvonnav free option, you'll need the cable for video input. |
