Turning on headlights locks up nav?

Ok - 2000 m5 with updated mkiv and original nav screen...

I already had v31 but wanted custom splash/English lady/night mode. Downgraded to v29 no problem...Upgraded back to customized splash/English lady/night mode to and v31 installed with no problem (meaning everything came up correctly and worked).

Turned on lights after install to see if it effected night mode and nav screen went black and mkiv locks up (panic). So I pull the neg cable and waited 15 min - reconnected battery and put custom v31 in mkiv, reinstalled no problem and everything worked.

I turned on the lights again and BAM - same thing happened again.

I tried to start the car after all this and I get the dreaded click, click, click - so battery is deadish.

Could the nav not respond/lock up is there is too much pull on the battery? My guess is "sure why not". So I will reset again tomorrow if needed.

Has anyone experienced something similar to this? I know it works - as I heard english lady saw my splash, my customized accept screen and night mode running no issues - twice now.

Thoughts gang?
