16.9 screen no backlight

Hi
If anyone could put some input would be greatly appreciated. Have a Nav screen with no backlight. Replaced the LCD panel already and still the same no backlight. Tried another LCD and yet again still the same problem. If anyone could shed some light on this would be helpful.
Thanks

To fix your problem requires electronics knowledge and faulty finding experience.

There are 6 different possibilities that can cause blank screen.

Best to leave it to a specialist.

Can you give any other background, like how long the screen has been blank? Was there an event that occurred where it suddenly broke? Are you getting any other symptoms? If you replaced two screens, the odds are pretty high that the problem is something else.

1) No power to the display
2) Bad navigation computer

Do your other functions work, like the radio and telephone? If not, then you have a general power problem, like a blown fuse. If so, I would still pull the screen to confirm it is getting power.

If it looks like the screen is OK, I would turn attention to the nav computer. How confident are you that the nav computer is connected and working?

Can still see the menu on the screen just no backlight. Put another Nav screen in from a different car and that screen works fine.

Found the problem. Its the high voltage diode which is burnt out. Do you know where I can purchase this from. Diode has the number J4S47 stamped on it. Any help would be appreciated.
