NavCoder is available here:
NavCoder Website

I am the author and happy to assist with any questions

You can use NavCoder with most any interface, Resler or even OBDII KKL interfaces

Thanks to all guys - I am looking forward to receiving my item from Resler.

Now, need a bit more help :-) - I will be looking to wire this in and I remember a post that ccfj1 had made a 'floating' harness so that they could plug and play at a moments notice.....

So I have a few questions as usual

1) Does the resler interface plug straight into the CD changer?
2) If so, how would I make a harness so that I don't have to remove the changer every time I want to mess about with my nav system :-)
3) Once connected - and using KiwiJochen's Navcoder (I have not downloaded yet but will be soon) - how do I code the Monochrome unit to be Colour?

If this works - it will be awesome! (plus I will owe you guys some beers!).

Thanks for any help as always

Chris

Yes, it plugs directly into the 3 pin changer lead (make sure you get it the right way round though).

Spend £15 on bits and make one

1) 61.13.8.377.072 - Male Plug x2 - same as CD I-bus plug. (for changer and one for resler interface) £0.68ea
2) 61.13.0.006.663 - Female termination x6 - 3 in changer and 3 in resler interface. £0.90ea

3) 61.13.6.931.929 - Female plug x1 - to accept changer port. £0.98ea
4) 61.13.0.006.664 - Male termination x3 - fit into item 3. £0.94ea

Have an OS disc handy (download and burn), and then run navcoder and select code navigation and select the colour button and hit code.

It will ask for an OS disc to be installed, do that and then thats it(I think).

Legendary answer as always CCFJ1 - I will wait for the resler to arrive, download navcoder and then attempt not to break anything :-)

Will provide update once completed (hopefully succesfully!)

Navcoder issues

Hi All,

Got my kit last night (resler interface) and downloaded the navcoder software this morning. I am still on the trial version and awaiting a auth code which I should get later today. I am sure KJ will respond shortly as they seem to be very helpful and efficient.

After some ignorance on my part RE: COM ports / drivers etc. I have managed to get the resler and navcoder up and running, and I can now see the IBUS activity etc. which in a geeky way is quite cool!

However, when I am trying to code the nav unit to become colour, it does not seem to play ball - I have had a few scenarios:

1) Unit coded to colour succesfully. I then install the O/S disk which it spits out after around 5 mins with nothing showing on the screen (apart from the TV module running the menu system)
2) Time out error on Navcoder

There is an option called 'code to default' in Navcoder which requires an O/S disc etc. and I think this could be the solution that I require. However, this is only available in the registered version - which mine will be soon so I will post back once I give that a go.

Hopefully all this will work - I cant wait to have a decent sat nav rather than the 2002 effort that was in there!

Any advice of the procedure to get this to work is gratefully received. I would like to confirm:

1) connect resler to car, then PC
2) start navcoder
3) turn on ignition
4) Wait a minute or so for sat nav to settle etc.
5) in Navcoder, go to 'code, Sat nav, code to defaults' with the colour radio button checked
6) wait for navcoder to do what it needs, then install the V32 O/S disc
7) Wait for the update and dont touch anything, leave boot & drivers door open.
8) install map disc and away I go?

Thanks

Chris
