Nav Rip off

I've had Bimmers for years. I've used their DVD systems and even had an old one that required 6 CDs to cover the USA. I always thought the DVDs were a little out of date by the time they were available, but for the most part they were serviceable. My yr old X5M has a system requiring dealer service to download the data into a hard drive. My salesman told me about the change when I bought the vehicle, but I never thought to ask the price. I doubt they knew a year ago. And my service guy still thouight I needed the DVD. OH NO, instead of a $199 DVD, they want $465 to basically do a software download. What a rip off. I complained to the local service manager. Apparrantly some people are paying their price. I'm looking for a person on the National level to complain to. Any ideas who to contact?? Anybody got a third party work around? $100,00 ride and now I need a Garmin.
