Whistle 730 assistance request

I have been reading XOutpost threads for the past week and find them very informative so have just joined hoping to get some assistance, my car is a 730d SE on an 07 plate(UK) E65, i have just recieved a Navigation software V32 update disk with my Europ High 2011 Nav DVD but am not sure if it will work/is required with my system.I believe my system is the ccc variant, the DVD(build date 11/2006) is located in the boot with idrive controller and split wide screen in the normal place, although badged as the Professional System the Nav DVD suplied with the vehicle is Europe High 2007-1, after digging down through the idrive secret menu's I find the Nav software version is 9.4.A Hex - unfortunately i could not find reference to this software in the threads which i've read so am not sure ref the ver 32 update, can any one please enlighten me.

regards in anticipation

Hi

I think you've got an update disc for the old iBus navs that stopped with the X3.The final rev was V32.

Your model I think the updates are on the map discs (search to be sure). You need also I think to watch for "high" and "professional" variants. Sadly there aren't too many iDrive using members on here.

I think all e65 cars use the high disk, and the later models (facelift) have the NAVI03 DVD nav computer in the trunk. The most recent OS is the Version 32 which updates the NAVI03 to 09.08.02. What version is yours when you drill down and read it from the screen? The SIB for Ver.32 is on the boards, this one or also bimmerboard.com I think. I think the CCC system was/is in the e90/60/63 systems but not the e65/66. The way to access the current version on your nav is described on the boards.
