Part Number Help for Navigation CID Control

I tried to cross reference this part number: 6512-9132253-03 to find out if it is compatible on my 2005 X3. I tried looking it up on the realoem.com web site but can't find it. Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

I can find next to no refernce to the PN either. What I did find was this, that shows a 2008 CIC control like 65129205283 will work in a 2004 car. So as long as it is from an X3, it will work, no matter when it was made.

You can then cross ref the 65129205283 P/N to see what other vehicles that fits, and find out your compatible donor vehicles list.

P/N 65 12 9 132 253 does show up in the BMW master ETK. It is called "CID Control,CD". There is no info on what models it is used for nor any other related P/N.

I have continued to look at my own ETK and have found a dozen or more P/Ns for CID Control, CDs. Most of them say they are for US X3s after 1/9/06 and Z4s after 1/3/06. Still don't know what it does.

Roy,

Thanks for your help. I completed a navigation retrofit on my X3 and the CID Control, CD was sourced from a 2009 X3 (it has the chrome rings on the volume control), also the black face plate is a few shades lighter than the black surround that houses it and it has a rougher texture. I am looking at purchasing a replacement that matches exactly to the black surround in the car. The part number I posted was from a 2007 X3 as I was unsure if there was a change and I didn't want to end up with another CID Control that was lighter in color.
