Nav screen lost color!!! Help

Hey guys my wife has a 2005 4.8is with nav.... Just recently the when starting the car the screen starts and functions correctly but with no color. Sometimes it will start up and nothing will be wrong. Please let me know if anyone else has had this problem or if anyone knows a fix...... Thanks in advance.

Will

I removed the navigation screen panel last night and cleaned the contacts and the colors are back again. Thanks to all the posts here suggesting this....

Glad you were able to get yours fixed! I have a similar problem in that mine won't change colors (stuck on color # 2). Haven't gotten any responses on my post either /

Yes, that's exactly it! The blue comes and goes. Got a linky to your DIY? Thank you!

Well, was installing the aux input I made this weekend and had the nav unit out, so I took the ribbon cables out and re-seated them. So far the blue color has stayed. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the tip!
