mkII to mkIV upgraqe

Hey guys:
Just bought my wife an 01 X5 4.4 with NAV and DSP. My Nav in my 04 M3 is wayyyyy better (obvious bigger screen and faster w/DVD comp). I saw the retrofit articles on the site here. Is there anything I need to know to do mkII to mkIV (and 16:9 retro)?? Is it plug and play, or do I need to do more wiring? I see the III to IV is pretty simple, just wondering if it applies to II to IV....
Thanks fellas!
Anthony
