What Suburb?
The MK4 is super quick and I love it! The widescreen monitor too is much better. I upgraded to v32 as soon as I could. However I have this one grip about Suburbs not being displayed, but rather the name of the major city...in my case SYDNEY. This is so useless! I also noticed I cant navigate to POIs properly or save them with the full description of where they are.... Suburb, Street, etc... they just save as 'SYDNEY' Very boring.... does anyone know if BMW intend to fix this? I doubt it as these systems are so old now....but we can always wish. I am going to try down grading to v26 to see if that helps

What DATA are you using?
The nav operating system is only part of it...they cannot 'create' suburb distinctions that dont exist on the data disk! (I dont know the answer to the question, but thought this would help...) Oh, I've been to Sydney 15 times or so, with a lot of driving around...first few trips I was struck by the odd names of places... like this place called Nth. Weird, city with no vowels. End of the second trip I realized this was part of one city name, the remainder on the line below: North Sydney. Jet lag, overwhelmed with all the names and such! A |

They will not update any firmware unfortunately... and who knows, for how long they will be selling the map updates...
I wish the FW was refreshed (like when they went from flat maps to perspective ones, it was refreshing, but is dated now) |

yeah those are good point terminator...
ARD... doesn't matter what data disk I use...if you change from v26 to v27 or higher, the suburbs go away. Main city is what is listed in the split view. For the record, my 2010 map disk is a BMW disk and my 2012 disk is a WhereIs disk for VDO/Dayton units.
