Powerchip Group Buy/Discount

I have been corresponding with Matt (BMW Power Consultant) from Powerchip about a possible group buy/discount. Just wanted to send this out to see what kind of interest there is before I call him with specifics. If you want info the link is:

http://www.powerchipgroup.com/

I will probably call him on wed or thurs to let him know what kind of interest there is. Let me know if you are interested so that I can give him some kind of numbers.

powerchip...isn't the retail like $800-900 for only 20hp?

I also would be interested as I felt that $999 for the 4.8 was pretty steep for the gain involved.

This thread is probably better served in the group buys forum. It might get buried in this forum. I'd like to see some dyno sheets for the powerchip, with and without CAI and exhaust. Also it is an ECU mod or a software upload?

From looking at their site the cost is between 800-1000. It nets you about 20hp/30tq and yes you have to pull your ECU and send it to them.

A $50 discount??? Damit these guys just do not care.

fuck 'em....arrogant asses...

They need to contact Steve Cole about using his "Powerloader" technology (if the obdii upload is patented) to make the install a 10 minute DIY job at $500 or less.

$900 for 20hp    :thumbdown

For faster turnaround, (like less than an hour) you don't have to send in your ECU. I've spoken with Travis and they will send out the cables for you to pull your data, email to them, then they send back the modified data that you upload.

Just wanted to throw it out there. Wasn't as good of a deal as I was expecting either. Guess that I will leave the deal making up the to pros!
