How do you do with the small roads?

I have to say its superb, totally chuffed with it, so refined and comfortable - i dont get what Autocar mean when they say the GT rides badly.

Interior is second to none and the 8 speed auto a gem. makes my X5 feel like a truck in comparison!

I would take this car over my X5 anyday.

Hehe.. thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely not gonna test drive one.. otherwise I'd be miserable in my X5. ;)

Absolutely agree. :D

Everyone has a car that is perfect for them. Back in college I wouldn't want anything else but a M3. As I get older and value comfort more, I move to a different category. The GT is just perfect for what I'm looking for out of a car right now. Though the X5 rocks too!

I wonder why the speedometers are both in miles in the UK? Do you guys use miles as well?

UK uses Miles, their own gallons, stones and pounds, etc etc.

I think that English speaking countries just like to be difficult like that. Nicht wahr, AzNMPower32?

the best part is we use miles per gallon for all vehicles but buy fuel in litres! Which just to shock you accross the pond is currently about £1.08 per litre

I saw one at the dealer yesterday and looks like the Merc SLK will be going soon, need more comfort. I'll keep the X5 though for the bad roads and weather!

What fuel consumption are you getting on the 3.0D GT?

Cheers

Gordon

Congrats, it's a great looking ride. I must say you are a brave soul with white interior and a car seat in the back. I can see those little shoe marks now.

gordon

is only done 400 miles and showing 31mpg which is 80% urban driving. Not done a long run yet, would reccomend driving one, you will be impressed.
