On regular NY city driving, i'm definitely under 250 miles a tank.

When I do all highway driving i'm close to 400+ miles a tank.

on the highway I'm at about 22mpg-24mpg so about 400+ a tank sounds about right but that nyc roads and traffic is a mpg killer

Your MPG Doesn't sound very positive to me. But after you take your vehicle and diagnosis the problem i'm "POSITIVE" you will be a happy person with a POSITIVE report. :rofl:

My X5 4.4 was a nice car/truck that handled the NYC roads better than my E61.

That said I still love my E61.

I think most BMW's age well (with quality maintenance)

My E61 has 75,000 miles and drives like new.

My positive aspects;

1) Fits my dog
2) Fits my friends
3) Fits my snowboard gear
4) Fits my friends and all their snowboarding gear at the same time
5) Has a manual transmission
6) Handles better than most SUVs

that's a full tank for me. first half I do about 140-150 miles and last half is about 80-100 when the lights comes on.

It would be hard to use the X as a DD with that mpg.

The Accord would be used way more (13 gals gets me around 275 miles).

I don't know if you have ever been to nyc but there are parts where u can't go more that 300ft without reaching a stop sign. by the time I accelerate to 30-40mph I have to stop because of a stop sign or red light so most of my time is either accelerating or braking
