I'm so MAD!!!
 

Well I got a 4.8is kit back in November and finally got it painted. Some of you might remember me asking for the paint code for the Toledo Blue (482). Well guess what happens, the guy at the bodyshop calls BMW and asks for the paint code and they tell him (381). Which is the blue for LeMans Blue!!!

I went by tonight and noticed this and now they have to get it corrected. At first he was like its the same! I asked him if he seriously thought they were the same and he still said yes. I asked him to see what paint code he used and its (381).

That sucks, sorry but on teh otehr hand at least you got a 4.8 kit im jellous. im stuck in the cold with my 4.your a lucky person be thankful like in thanks givving wher i haev no 4.8 kit and you do and you can say wow im so thankfull :)

Sorry to hear that. Stay cool until the work is completed. You don't want some pissed off body shop guy working on your kit.

Can i get a 4.8 kit for my 4.4 or do they only fit after 03 modles... (i have an 00')

You can get a 4.6is kit.

Sorry Benathon. I know that you have been planning this for some time now. But it will all look great at the end with an extra coat of paint. We expect some pictures in a few days!

That's odd. Did you give the shop the paint code? If so, why did they check it again. You're the customer.

Certainly a pain, but at least you'll have extra-thick paint on your 4.8 kit! Pics, Pics!
