Well CJ I am a huge fan of the birds eye maple in my X5. That was one of the things I liked most about the interior. I guess I am old fashioned but I like wood in a vehicle much more than the popular aluminum trim. To me the aluminum looks cheaper than the luxurious wood. I know it is suppose to look sporty, but I like the wood. I really like the wood in the link. I would def. have to do that. I really think that it would look good with the black leather. But for now if you want to make your trim shine more try waxing it. I know this sounds stupid, but in my mom's landcruiser her console got scratched and lost some of its shine. So I took meguiars car wax and waxed her console. It made it look like new and took all the scratches out. Wether it works on BMW wood I don't know, but it worked in my moms landcruiser really well.
