Next mod: what do you think?

I'm thinking of this for my next mod for the 330xi... I don't like the dark wood in my car, plus it's getting scratched and the finish is a bit hazy. I'm thinking of getting birch wood trim through eurobuyers.com
here is a link that shows what it looks like. I have a black leather interior. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't bother. If you must do it at all, maybe you should get the Diamond Cube trim for the ZHP. That'd be nicer.

I prefer the wood... I don't like the ZHP trim.

CJ, I do like that birch trim a lot, much better than the rather bland, standard myrtle trim.

Has anyone here actually DONE a trim swap? It seems kind of easy. I couldn't find anything on the main X5world though.

On the X5 all of the trim pieces just pop off/on, with the exception of the console trim. To change the trim on the console, the entire console must be removed. There is an article in the INTERIOR section on how to do this - http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...ticle&artid=51

CJ that trim looks good with the black/tan combo, but I'm not so sure how it would look with an all back interior.

I think your trim looks just fine -- just shine it up a bit.

I think you should be putting those Xenons on anyway.....

I agree that the money could be better spent elsewhere than on swapping out wood trim.

I'm talking about after the xenons... They're coming up very soon. I'm just planning ahead... Cause I really, really don't like the myrtle wood. I loved the poplar wood in the X5.

Well was it the light stuff? If you really like the light stuff don't let our opinions stop ya :) I just happen to dislike light trim against dark interior, its a huge contrast. Call me old fashioned! :D
