NJ seems to have a higher level of Auto thieft

I live in NYC and thieft and beak-ins used to be a real problem. It now seems like the NYC cops are on top of crime and it is safer than NJ (near Newark)

I live and drive in NYC all the time. Never had any problems whatsoever (hopefully it stays that way :D). Other than a few close calls with some idiotic cab drivers in the city. It's perfectly fine to drive there.
