Saint Valentine's Day.
 

Hey gals and guys, Valentine's day is fast approaching and I just want to know your plans for that special someone (if there's any ;) ). For me it's just not quite as significant as it used to be when I was younger but still nonetheless it's a special day.

hallmark holiday though i celebrated while with someone, really dont see point of over spending to tell someone you love them when you should be doing so every day just my 2cents

I am going to store and buying her some "ICE"!

Diamonds are a girls best friend I hear...and of course she will like them more than she likes me....but I guess that is the point!

Actually the more that I think about it....I am going to try a hug and a kiss on the cheek....we will see if she is home that night when I get in from work?

Valentine's day is cute when you 're a kid and you draw a card for your sweetie and you hold hands and give her a kiss on the cheek :thumbup:
I like the "Hallmark holiday" coinage: nowadays it's just about spending a ton of money on a particular date, like you're trying to catch up for all the rest of the year. There's no date for flowers, or taking your wife out to dinner or coming home with a surprise... you should do it whenever you feel like it!
So, no particular plans yet.

My wife took time out of her busy schedule to set an alert in my phone to remind me about Valentine's day.

how can you celebrate a day that praises a priest for breaking his vows by marrying the warden's daughter while he was in jail for breaking the law in the first place? hmmmmm?????

I think that meaning was lost a long time ago.
