Don't forget to list it locally in Pennysaver.

Ah yes, the Pennysaver. I used that too since it was free (I think). Got a few hits, so it was worth it.

Michelle:

If possible, show your car off premise from your home and make sure all documents are on you not in the car. Also, make potential buyers confirm their appointment with you an hour or 30 minutes prior. That way you know they are serious and not wasting your time. Never let the keys out of your sight so a clay impression can not be captured while you are not looking. If they get haggly, suggest that they are welcome to pre-pay for an inspection at a dealer or shop and you will bring the car there. And rather than coming down on price, try suggesting you will rebate them the inspection cost if they buy the car. Also, you may want to park the vehicle at the local implement dealer (your dad has spent enough money there that they owe you a favor) for better visibility.

Good luck.

Thanks guys :) I'll probably do autotrader.com and cars.com. The Jeep is extremely clean, but it has an "issue" with something in the rear, so I don't want to go the ebay route. The buyer needs to drive it first.

My dad's farm is along a very busy road and they sell a lot of vehicles just by setting them along the road. I'm planning on doing that, but also wanted to do the online thing.

I already have it inspected. So hopefully that will help!

Thanks again :)

I have sold my last two vehicles for free on craigslist.com. I am not sure how close you are to baltimore but here is the baltimore link: http://baltimore.craigslist.org/

Good luck,
Dennis

I get alot of junk e-mails when I list cars for sale on www.autotrader.com 7 out of 10 e-mails are:

"Hello Seller
my uncle left a certified check on the table but it's for more than what you are asking for can you please give me the difference in cash or another certified check"

go with www.cars.com
