None of the complaints in this thread ever happened to me and I drove my X cross country 2x! not to mention used it as a daily driver in the NY/NJ/LI area.... maybe it's localized in certain parts of the country? Maybe X5 drivers drive more aggressively?

I'm in your backyard so it's not a geographic thing. And I'm not talking aggressive or rude driving either.

ok, but you've got the "woman driving a $60k car factor" to consider though too...

You know I have driven across the country twice and all over Europe in mine and it does not matter where you are you get people who just seem to be jealous or downright inconsiderate.

It seems to people that being one car in front makes a difference nowadays, way too much aggressive driving and not enough defensive. I've got a drive from Newark, NJ to DC to Denver coming up next weekend I'll let you know the jealousy rating as I travel.;)

or it could just be sh*tty drivers :) not that there are any here in NJ .... nahhhhh ;) At least in NY aggressive driving is expected and there are certain rules about it, kind of like the mafia, organized chaos... here in NJ, everyone is a cowboy and you have no clue what they will do next.

Yeah the sh**ty driver quota has been exceeded for a while now. I have to say the ones that drive me nuts are the "what is a mirror on my car for?" crowd, they change lanes on a whim then give you a look when you have to swerve to avoid or honk to remind them to stay in lane.:tsk:

That would be true for Michelle and me, but what about Juan and the others? Basically we are back to the jealousy thing.

or the sh*tty driver thing. The other possibility is that someone with a less expensive car feels they can cut off someone in s a more expensive car because the owner of the more expensive car is more likely to avoid an accident and the costly repair bills that might occur with some "fender rubbing in traffic".

Most X5's around here are driven by women.
