Agreed...hazards in the fast lane = STUPID. In Florida we get downpours where traffic on the interstate slows to 35-40mph and hazards are very common because visibility is only 200-300 feet. Also, some folks just pull off the road because they are freaked out by having hydroplaned, so hazards are great...We're talking rain so strong that you have to raise your voice to talk...I find them helpful because it keeps me from plowing into folks.

Yeah...it was definitely a distraction! Lots of glare! My lights came on when I turned my wipers on in my 97 Grand Cherokee and I know a lot of other vehicles have the same feature.

I was taught in driver's ed that you should turn them on when you are travelling 15 MPH or more below the posted speedlimit as a warning to other drivers overtaking you.

If it's raining so hard you think you should put on your hazards, you should probably just pull over. I've been in that situation many times, and that's usually the best option. Rain that hard doesn't usually last long...

not with the trailer hitch and switch; pre-2003 models can have it for the cost of the bulb holder, some wire, and crimp-ons. thanks for the p/n for the wires as I haven't used the correct wires, just shoved a larger gauge wire into the appropriate end of the connector. just haven't gotten around to placing thepins in the last 3 years cause it works ok.

on jeffs, prior to pre-wiring the switch, the walls of light could easily turn on on low and get really bright with braking. their are other ways of wiring a switch too. on mine, i have a remote 12 channel switcher that controls a bunch of 'james bond' type options including instant on rear camera and other fun stuff.

when i finally get situated and can take the care apart in MY own garage with all my tools, i will complete the mods and add the supersecret mod....
