I'm not trying to provoke an argument - I'm just pointing out if there is to be a whole forum for political discussion, then maybe there should be an equal rule about avatars and signatures. Several people have politically-based avatars and signatures.

I might agree or disagree with them, I've never issued an opinion on that. But that doesn't change the fact that they are still political statements.

If such things are to be unmoderated, then fine, I'll play by the rules. I'm just making an observation.

I'm with you, not trying to start any agruments.

Point taken, and agreed.

Now THAT would be funny if this thread actually turned into a political thread  . That would most certainly underscore the issue ;)

I voted for no.

I would rather not have any talk of politics and anyway most political talk on here is 99% USA talk of which I have very limited knowledge or understanding and little interest in.

Anyway thought this was meant to be a BMW X5 international forum for all the worlds people who either own or admire the BMW X5.

If I wanted a debate on world politics I would sign up on a forum specific to that purpose.

I will admit to reading a few of the threads but soon give up because it just seems to end up in a bitching session with everyone thinking their opinion is the right one.:)

There ends the opinion of the wee Scottish lass;)

Yes she does. But what to do? Do you say NO POLITICAL threads? I rarely post to them (learned my lesson!) I voted yes just so we didn't have to see them if we didn't want to.

AWD-X5 06-15-2006 04:58 PM

Personally I think that this forum should not allow political / religious talk! - IMHO this is an X5 forum not a political / religious soap box - if I want to read about peoples political beliefs I know where to go. I do not come to this forum to read them. I believe this forum should stick to it's core mission!
Anyway - thats my 2c's worth

yes this site has definitely gone haywire since last year when not a single thread was about anything other than the car or the mods or someone raced someone else. what happened to the good ol' days
