ahh.. ok.. good to know.. I'm still slamming the doors..

BTW talking about cool cars, heading out for a drive with my neighbor's "new" car. He just picked up an ultra exotic Aston Martin DBAR1. Looks damn ugly with the fat fish lip grill but the V12 sounds mean.

yeah. That does have fat grill, but the V12 compensates for that. ;)

yup.. car 75 of 99 produced. 6spd...435hp... Very interesting car.. you just sink into the seats and it's extremely plush... the no roof thing would bug the crap out of me.. I told him.. you pay $300K for a car, I at least want a top! he laughed at me and called me a car snob. Just came back from the drive and let me tell you, the cliche "pulls like a train" is exact how you would describe it. Very smooth...

Must be fun.

My neighbor two doors down has the 2006 Black Aston Martin V8 Vantage, I think it is a cheaper version. Next door has a 2006 White Cheyene Turbo. It breaks my heart watching the both of them streetparked all day under the hot California Sun and Heat. I wish to call 'Nice Car Protection Agency' and report a crime. Exibitionists perhaps. Too bad not many passers-by in this gated community.

By the way sorry to hear about your car, Guru-San.

J,
Bum deal, but at least you got exc service from an accomodating dlr...
if that had been me, here, I would be just getting home from my long walk about now. Exc diagnosis on the gonzo fuel pump, too!

J - bummer situation, but great service from your dealer... good luck with the repairs.

I think it's a conspiracy.

We know there are certain things that will fail on Bimmers. Fuel pumps, window regulators, water pumps, radiators. I had alot of Bimmers, so I've experienced all of these failures, some multiple times. And it always happens when I'm on the road, never at home. It's weird. :dunno:

It's kind of like the reverse of the old blonde joke: The blonde heard that most accidents happen within 10 miles of your residence, so she moved 11 miles away :)

Sounds like your dealer is top shelf all the way, so you can't get too pissed...things worked out.
