What does your Avatar mean to you?

From some of you it is not very clear what they stand for. Some use pictures of their own pets (I don't think an hornored female member project herself as a female dog) which I could only speculate, and the pictures of their favorite toys; X5s, bikes, etc: Those are very easy ones for me.

I am confused by some members who use(d) female pictures as their Avitar(s) and later declare as males, my best guess is 'a man trapped in female body?!' Why would you do that? I am sure someone fantacized about you in the way you don't wish to know.

Some loves to use ethic figures, once again I could only guess 1) it is the real ethnicity, 2) a wishful thinking, or 3) an ethnic male trapped in the wrong color man's pants.

Please help me stop from guessing, as much as your privacy is not violated, unless you wish to remain misunderstood.

Speaking of myself, I've been using Arnold's pictures, since I've been a serious weight lifter since 15 and I lived in different part of the world for 10 years in my childhood and have an accent. Well neither I think mine is that prominent as the Governator, nor subscribe to all of his political agenda. And yet I was called Arnold by different college friends.

Please forgive me if I sound too naive, in that case my only defense would be being new at this online culture.

I appreciate your input in advance.
Hey what is your story?

um what are you smoking or are you just acting like an idiot?

Neither, Ryan.
I got just curious. I didn't mean to offend anybody. Shall I add more disclaimer?

Hey, I think an avatar is a pic of something that we find interesting, like this X5 site. Mine is of my only dog, she (female) is a great dog. I, being male, have no problem using my dog as an avatar and as my online name. It's all in fun. I too have been an avid weight lifter for about 10 years and even did one natural competition.

I'm thinking don't try to guess, or make sense out of avatars, just enjoy the pics.

I don't see the point of this thread?

I think his intentions are innocent and I think the thread does have a point. I have been curious about people's avatars before. We all chose our avatars for a reason and some of those reasons might have an interesting or funny story behind it. It could be something as simple as wondering whether the X5 pictured in it is actually that member's X5. Some might be totally arbitrary.

I have been curious about a few myself. For example, I noticed you have a cute Chihuahua as your avatar. I first wondered whether it was actually your pooch. If it is, it's a cute little bugger. Then I wondered if that is the dog that got a Louis Vuitton leash.

Haven't you wondered why I have Hello Kitty as mine? :dunno:

Don't be hatin' on my Hello Kitty. See, now that I know it's your dog and knowing the stories you've told us about Biscuit, I have a better appreciation of your avatar.
