Anybody watching the Open - Mickelson imploding on #18
 

A par on #18 was all that was needed. He had a 2 shot lead with 3 holes to play. He's about to lose the tournament because he couldn't hold his nerves together. The old Phil has returned!

He lost it - it's over!

I feel bad for the guy :(

What a disaster. Poor guy. He now owns the most 2nd place finishes at US Open. How tragic. He and Tiger both have some negative karma to shake off before the British Open.

Poor Phil. Back to his choking days. That was a tough course though.

i see a few of the guys and gals losing it on hole #11 from my balcony every few hours.. double sand trap and a lake right next to the very narrow fairway.. LOL

....Let's see....pull out 2 iron/4 wood, play for bogey and insure you play another day, or....pull out a club that can put you into trouble really quickly and become posterboy for the new anti-choking drug coming out on the market soon.....hmmmm......Thanks for the yuks, Phil :rofl: :thumbup: ......I don't feel sorry for Goophead, at all.....:tsk: He had it in the bag....

He wasn't driving well all day, surprised he was the leader...just shows how BAD everyone else was. He only landed 2 drives (of 18) on the fairway.......

....I agree, but it was really 2/14 drives in the fairway.....on 99.9% all golf courses, there are 4 par three's...not considered holes that one tries to hit the fairway......sorry, golf afficianado....:thumbup:....can't win the Open doing that.....:tsk:

Exactly... the smart move would've been to play conservative. If you haven't been driving the ball well all day, leave it in the bag and hit a 2 or 3 iron. :tsk:
