My initials, and the year of my Mustang. Really original

UCrewX5 05-07-2005 11:22 PM

UCrew's the boat name. It's a combination of the first letter of my last name and "Crew". Crew is both a nautical term (my son crews), so it was fitting for the boat, and it also represents "the family". [not to mention that U and Crew rhyme :D ]

HOCKNEY: What I want to know is, who's the gimp?

KEATON: He's OK.

HOCKNEY: Says you. How do I know that? How about it, pretzel-man? What's your story?

KEATON: His name is Verbal. Verbal Kint.

McMANUS: Verbal?

VERBAL: Roger really. People say I talk too much.

HOCKNEY: Yeah, I was gonna tell you to shut up.

KUJAN: Every criminal I have put in prison, every cop that owes me a favor, every creep and scumbag that walks the streets for a living will know the name of Verbal Kint.

gojira-san 05-08-2005 08:21 AM

gojira-san comes from my love of watching Godzilla movies (gojira-san in Japanese) When I bought one of my trucks (Chevy Avalanche) my son thought it was big as Godzilla so a name was born. I use it mostly on the car/truck forums.

motordavid 05-08-2005 01:56 PM

motordavid= first name, obviously, and I was born and raised in Detroit, TheMotorCity; (it could lay some claim to that title back in the '50s, '60s & '70s.) I remember always loving cars & M'cycles and got tagged w/that name as a early teenaged kid.

My mechanical skills have eroded and the new stuff is a very complex/sealed box deal, but I still love cars & m'cycles of all kinds.

I first used that nom de plume on the net in early 2k and I was recently annointed Ol'UncleMotor, on this board by SuperGreg, a good and patient man, whom I send big fooking residual money to every month, for use of the name.

I frequent RagingBull, Clearstation, et al for stock bs, CorvetteForum, occas. glances at RoadCrap and daFest,
some gardening and bridge playing boards, etc. But, I am addicted to this X5World board, I must admit.

The Net is a marvelous source of info and and a window onto the world, if one remembers to disregard some crap, filter the bs and enjoy other peoples' opins and ideas.
Best Regards and Cheers,
Ol'UncMtr :beerchug:
