Im not a professional driver here but shit im good enough to know and have enough snow driving experience to know that BMWs are not deadly vehicles to drive in the snow. And if you really think that or who ever shares your opinion on it doesnt know shit about driving. I dont care what anyone says Rear drive with snow tires is not deadly in snow and if it was for you it is because you dont know the meaning of car control.

What's the big deal??? Used to be RWD was the only thing you could get. Drive properly, and it doesn't matter what you have. Is AWD better than RWD & FWD? Sure! Snows are better than all-season (a name which IMHO has gotten more people into trouble than anything else) - as a former Bronco owner, selectable 4wd/2wd is the best - drive in 2wd and use 4wd to get unstuck

Rear wheel drive is not deadly in the snow. I have ice and snow here from October and sometimes into May which is more than half the year. I would take a rear wheel drive with blizzaks over front wheel drive with Blizzaks anytime. We get over 300 inches of snow up here by Lake Superior and many nights colder than 30 below zero not including the wind chill. Ice and snow is what I drive in most of the year and have never had a problem with any of my rear wheel drive vehicles. The one I drive the most is a 2001 S-10 2WD pickup with manual transmission and have no problems with the blizzaks and no weight in the back except some snow. It's mostly about driving skill, being aware of conditions and your vehicles capability more than anything when it comes to rear wheel drive. If you have problems with rear wheel drive and you even have Blizzaks then you are lacking in one of the above mentioned areas.

seriously... there is no concern... TONS upon tons of cars in the frozen tundra with just snows on and they are all fine...

otherwise you can consider yourself a slow speed drifting expert! (not that real drifters drive much faster then that... ;) )

I think I'm going to get the 330i.. I'm just going to put the extra $1000+ towards a set of amazing snow tires. In any situation where I'd need to drive in deep snow on unplowed roads, I can take the XC70 or A4.
