Looking for Honeymoon ideas
Well It's time to start looking for a honeymoon destination:) Here is what we're looking for. Secluded, White sand, Crystal clear blue water, and possibly have the room on the beach. Looking to stay kind of near the US. Maybe Hawaii or the Carribean. The way the world is today, really don't want to go some where unsafe. Price is not really important right now. Any suggestion or personal experiance?? Thanks Rob

Anguilla. Cap Jaluca or Cuisinart. Ths island has some of the BEST restauants in the world, the beaches are world class, the island and resorts are very secluded, and it is a short ferry ride or puddle jumper flight away from St. Martin.

Wow!! Very interesting. Have you ever been there? Just what we were looking for.

Been to both. Spent 1/2 of my honeymoon at Cap Jaluca (which is pronounced with a D, not a J, btw). It is paradise on earth. Cuisinart is also awesome.
I was last on the island in February, and try to get there once a year. If you go, I'll tell you where to eat dinner. :) You have all of the water sports you want, you can rent a jeep and ride around the island, hit some other beaches, and just enjoy the place. The island isn't a tropical paradise, there isn't too much to see, but it is an overall great place! The golf course won't be opened until next year, I believe. When is the honeymoon? |
Being born and raised in the Caribbean so I'm partial. However, hurricane season has been worse the past few years the ever, and this is suppose to be another pretty significant season. So, depending on the dates, you may want to consider Pacific beaches (Hawaii, Samoa, Philippines etc).
In any case Congratulations!!! |
bora bora if price is no object

I felt the same way you do....
We went to Fiji. Non-stop flight and very safe place... It was incredible. We went to three different places in three very different environments on three different islands. All were private beaches, very, very safe atmosphere and rooms right on the beach (not like Tahiti where there are over the water bungalos, but great places)... and much cheaper than Tahiti. |
Wow, all great ideas and great places. Congratulations!
Now you got me dreaming about going on another honeymoon! |
Here is another option. I have also been here and it lives up to the Four Seasons name.

You may find this idea a bit unorthodox: Havana. I know someone who went there a couple of years ago -- this is someone who has been all over the Caribbean, and they said Havana was one of the nicest places. Apparently it is the most visited destination in the entire Caribbean -- just not by Americans. You have to travel through Canada or Mexico to get there. But it is supposed to be extremely nice, and because of the favorable exchange rate, also inexpensive compared to many of the other vacation spots in Caribbean.
