Every gubment does things differently, every country does things differently. As I don't agree with beating dogs to death over there in China, but they do business they way they want, the way its supposed to be done there. Us here, with a lot more problems with domestic issues bigger than dog beatings. They don't complaint why you do business the way we do. Over there, they don't vaccine dogs, they don't have dog food stores, they don't what we call "men's best friends" attitude towards dogs. So don't be calling them inhumane. They might treat dogs less humane than us here, but do they treat people any less humane than we do? we don't know, just like some of you said you rather see a human beaten do death than you do see a dog getting beat up ( thats stupid ). So let the issue to their gubment. One dog beaten to death or 50,000 dont matter to them as it doesnt to us. Lets concentrate on ours domestic issues and stop being hypocrites.

mr lover a dog cant fight for it self it cant call the police it cant tell you what hurts, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, absolutely if they think beating dogs is normal its not humane but most of the world will see that as a problem. we have evolved from days of hanging people and cutting off limbs as punishment, there are other ways we have grown as a people if you have a problem with dogs get rid of them but dont do it in that way. but then again what do you expect from a society that beats people just the same. sure we cant tell them what to do but it still hurts to see/hear these things. sure we have plenty of our own problems but we arent here to solve them we are here to speak about them, if there is an issue domestically you would like to bring up feel free to do so. maybe someone else should change the avatar because its confusing or too revealing?

I agree that beating animals is wrong but I too think we need to focus on issues here at home, think of this, this weekend while I was out and about I learned that 5 people were beatin just because they were gay by 3 disgusting excuses for individuals so while I am a lover of animals I honestly feel there are much more pressing issues then whats going on in China, such as making sure these monsters are put away for a long time (I'd prefer to see em hung in a square but I don't always get my way) I hope they stop beating the animals because that is mean but we have issues I suppose I feel are more important.

but guess what when they come to this country and bring their beliefs and rituals and habits it does effect you, US isnt the entire world there is a world outside things outside of the US do effect us in one way or another. thats like saying lets not concentrate on avian flu lets just concentrate on west nile virus. guess what the avian flu is a lot more potent and can get here just as quickly.

Yes Yes, thats a whole different thing, Its not a culture thing, its a view point on whats right and wrong, the mainstream of people don't believe that is right

exactly, its what you were brought up to see and believe however we have created standards like taking stuff from a store is called stealing and thats wrong, having sex with a minor is wrong because its disgusting but hey in some countries the minute a girl can make babies shes already matched with her mate. tomato tomato point is thats simply unacceptable. can we change that no is there a point to discuss it further as a result? probably not

My point is that I feel other things take higher priority, like human beings getting beatin, that is reality and exists here, it happened right next to where I parked, thats something I can see and experiance and it's honestly the first time I EVER considered carrying a gun, so yeah I don't support beating dogs, but even more I don't support hating other people for not living your life, any other week i'd be all over it but I guess I just have much more pressing feelings on my mind.

Interesting discussion however remember this, if you live in America you may have the American viewpoint. If you live somewhere else then that's your viewpoint. For example; in Korea, until recently, dogs haven't been pets. Therefore, by the "companion" standard, it's OK to eat them. In fact, the "companion" standard is exactly what South Korean newspapers and government officials are using to justify an emerging system of dog Nazism. In the city, Koreans raise "pet dogs." In the country, they raise "meat dogs," also known as "junk dogs" and "lower-grade" dogs. But you don't become a "lower-grade" dog by flunking an IQ test. You're just born in the wrong place. Then you're slaughtered and fed to a man who thinks he's humane because he pampers a Golden Retriever that has half your brains. And Bardot, who says that cows can be butchered because they're "grown to be eaten," can't fault this arrangement. But that only a brief picture. Read the rest and you will see that others folks look at things quite differently. Not only that history shows that dogs have not always been regarded as mans best friend. In fact they have been regarded as the name implies. Dogs.
