seller is lying.
#1. He is not a newbie. Over 40 feedbacks #2. He has been a seller before (check his feedback) Usually when you list, you do notice there was no reserve price or not. He just did not expect them to go so low. |
Ebay mostly sides with the sellers since that's who generates their fees. Sounds like what happened here is "his power seller friends" didn't jump in quick enough to bid it up. I would press Ebay for an explanation, tell them you want to post their reply in your blog.

Sounds like he just didn't want to pay the higher fees for using reserve price and was hoping to get away with it. Ebay will probably issue him a warning or suspend his account for 30 days, but unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing they can do to make him sell you the wheels.

Dude, they do this kind of stuff ALL the time...i cant tell you how many times i bid on something and the guy realizes he can get a higher price...usually when you see :advertised somewhere else" you aint gettin' the item if the money isnt right..reserve or not..it really pisses me off, but theres not much you can do...
i "won" another set of 132's with tyres about 6 months ago, for freakin' 800 bucks..brand new..the guy didnt know what type of wheels they were and figured he wouldnt have that many bmw customers...once workd got out...he closed the auction and sold out with no explanation... |
I know that this is over but before I bid I always review items in feedback...so I looked at this guy. Never sold rims before looks like he buys and sells toys. All types of transactional issues and such...it seems very legit....my personal experience after reviewing feedback like that was to email first then bid....just my 2 cents...

Unfortunatly eBay in my opinion are very fast at shutting down fraud but based upon my wifes experience this can be abused substantially as well!
She has been selling handbags on eBay for a while and has positive feedback up the wazoo but someone has it in for her (we suspect someone who bought and returned a bag who also sells bags on eBay). She has now had her account suspended 3 times with no negative feedback from her purchases but someone keeps saying her bags are not authentic (they are as I pay the dredit card bill!). The last time she had to send them pretty much everything except her birth certificate to verify who she was and then she was reinstated. Also she just bought a bag from this person and despite her claims about fast communication about purchases has heard nothing from her for over 5 days and no bag, then today Account Suspended again this time for 12 months!!!!!! On eBay you are guilty until proven innocent unfortunatly! Good idea on the fraud but the process is not working and can be abused! |
$710 for 22 inch 2-pc. wheels? Krunk Man, you gotta believe that seller (maybe it was 710 each).
