I have a PS3 20 gb a 360 premium and a Wii all have great and very different benefits
-PS3 I am still in love with the comfort of the playstation controller I dont really like the vibrate thing (even in driving games) so that is no big deal for me the graphics are nice and the upcoming games look and if the demos from E3 and CES are any indicator play wonderfully havent had any problems with the batteries going dead while gaming but I do prefer the replaceable batteries on the 360 controller and the analog trigger style R2 and L2 buttons are a welcome addition
-360 Great all around system graphics on most games are not on par with the games coming out for PS3 but overall not too bad I hate the power brick on it though its huge and runs way hot plus the 360 is really noisy...overall for it's price I like it and the games play nicely
-Wii a great system for a get together the games are fun and easy to play with larger groups plus its cheap just make sure you dont throw your controller through your new HDTV!
-As for the HD-DVD and blu-ray players buying both systems plus the add on HD-DVD unit for 360 puts you over $1200 but LG will be coming out with a HD-DVD/Blu-Ray combo player for about $1000 mid to late Q2 this year I would wait for that.
