LED work bench drop light - good or bad?
 

Has anyone added one of these LED worklights to their work bench? I get a headache working with my fluorescent drop lights. This LED worklight might be a little easier on the eyes since they don't flicker like fluorescent, plus they are rechargeable.

These lights aren't cheap. I'm seeing 60-75 LED droplights for $50.

Are they too bright? IMHO, too bright is worse than flickering.

Looks good but the price is kind of high. Also, as convenient as rechargeable tools are, you have to plan ahead and make sure it's charged up if you're going to need it. That bugs me. I've been meaning to buy a corded drill for those spontaneous drilling jobs when my rechargeable isn't juiced up.

If flourescents are giving you a headache then you should switch to something else. :dunno:

I have a smaller Craftsman 10 LED work light. It works well, but it sucks when the battery dies down. I just end up using a normal drop light.

Wow, I would consider on but as was stated, kind of expensive.

You can solve the spontaneous drilling jobs thing by getting a second battery. Mine came with 2 when i bought it so I haven't used my corded drill in a long time. Hmmmm maybe i should sell it to you. :rofl:

I have the craftsman one also. It's great. Highly recommended.

I just hate cordless droplights they are never ready when I need them
I have been looking at the LED droplights and if they are half as good as my LED flashlights I definately want one

If i read the ad right i guess the bad part about this light is the fact that the recharable batteries cannot be replaced. That would be a deal breaker for me. (Specifications: 60 SUPER-bright LEDs Non-replaceable NiMH battery pack (no memory effect and more friendly to the environment)

Don't know but Apple dosen't make batteries. :rofl: :rofl:
