I drove one and found that the steering got REAL light at speed, do you have the same experience?

Boy, is this thing ugly, especially from the rear with those 2 HUGE tailpipes.
Inside is even worse with typical domestic ergonomics. yikes!
Maybe fast in a straight lane on dry pavement, but thros some road imperfections and some water or snow and it will not be sucha joy to ride LOL
Think about taking corners at high speed? Forget about it!
LOL

I really like the look of the back end, especially the tail pipes. As far as snow goes, anything with huge summer tires sucks in the snow, but in the dry, I hear this beast handles exceptionally well for what it is!

You forgot to include big power, solid handling, and great acceleration in your equation! :nanana:

it is very stable in the corners.. in fact i took it to the local auto cross and it tracked similar times to the small turbo cars. It takes corners very well at high speeds and is extremely stable in the wet. Most people love the looks. i'm sorry u're so missinformed

Wow! I know this is THE X5 site, but we gotta stop hatin' on the SRT8. It is a Monster plain and simple. With its hunkered down stance and big ass wheels and tires and centered exhaust, its a beaut too......and why would you want to try and two something with it?....... it is not made for towing (I mean, I am quite sure thats not a target demo.). You want a Jeep that tows? Get the 5.7 hemi. And as far as the cheap lookin' interior...... they gotta keep cost down somewhere. Shit, name another SAV pushing over 400 ponies, brand-spanking new under 45K. Go ahead.

Yeah, thought so............

Is this Jeep worth 42K fully loaded? I had a 99 Jeep Grand and had nothing but problems with it. Any suggestions?

snow tires - most of the guys in chicago use pirelli snow scorpion 275/45 20s

sorry i couldn't resist adding this one, as u can see it does need the snow tires althought these guys are just having fun albeit maybe a little irresponsible
