I actually contemplated trading in the X5 for a 530XI but didn't have the money to do so...

MD, I am impressed with the quiet ride. You need the bigger engine
only if you plan to drive fairly aggressively. Personally, I think you could do a scale back equipment list and get what you want. fwiw. Thx M. |
MD......surely you mean the 550i, not the 540i right? Those really are quite expensive. Wait for the 535i since it's getting a facelift for 2008. V8 power with I-6 pricing.
Or if you're like me, get a "good ol' days" BMW and a 2001-2003 540i. And the plus side is you'll never need to relearn anything because the interior would be the same as your X5! |
Matt, you maybe correct...I get confused on the 5 series model
nomenclature. Just sort of kicking it around; hellsbells, my '01 X is still doing fine with another year left of WD warranty. TheCEO is really more in line for a replacement for her CrappyRittle Vehicle, CR-V. We've looked at that stuff and kind, and they all suck, lol! Hard to dodge the V6/AWD that all those clones offer. Neither or which we need for her daily grocery getter and UHaul crap wagon. I just like the 5 Series a lot. New 3 is fine, too, but the "trunk" is for bikinis and a toothbrush. If the Mkt gets gassed, it's all academic for me, being on fixed/careful "income". BR,mD |
That's a pretty sweet loaner for sure
