new loaner
 

Had new loaner today. Nice Alpine 525. Beautiful. Gotta really stomp on the accelerator
to make it go. It picks up after that. I couldn't drive it everyday.
Better than my last economy car though.

Well, that loaner needs to have xenons, for one.

I still don't quite get the styling, or the lack of an exhaust note around town. 2003 540i 6MT sport please! ;)

Needs more kick outta the hole. So I guess 540. Interior needs help, MD. The dash is all black in a grey interior, so check options.
No console space, so find another spot for your wallet.
Suspension is great as is, unless you want stiffer ride if sport is available. Upgrade the soundsystem for chure! Oh, get Alpine...

Needs the 535i! the 2008 update solves a few non-issues too.

I had a 530i rental in the dead of winter. It was nice, but the DSC light went crazy all day. xi would have been nice or snow tires. But I ain't gonna complain! The MSRP was 50 large! :D

I don't care about xenons...I drive 6 times a year after dark; if they come with them, good. I think a bigger engine and def. the 6 MT is the tix...

I don't like the interior very plain especially the climate control, they did a better job with the 3.

IMO, the interior of the 5 looks best with black with black anthracite maple wood trim. The other woods look cheesy and just don't cut it.

Yes, I like austere, teutonic coal bin interiors :D

I was tire kicking the 540 a few weeks ago at the local Stlr...theirs were
all loaded to the gunnels and pricey, imo. The SalesPunque laughed out
loud when I asked if they ever got a 6MT in. (This is noveau-riche/matron
ville, esp at the BeamER dlr.)
Agree with your comments on int. I think the previous years' models were
higher line looking.

I don't have a wallet: jes' a money clip with DL, CCs and a couple bucks;
theCEO has all the dough. :rofl:

Sport, 6MT and some grunt...it's on my list, but it may be a long way
off, time-wise, unless the X back on the Mtn has run away or dissolved.
I do like it and it's the only BMW sedan/car that can hold 2 sets of clubs,
sorta, beside the 7 series.
