Wow a great dog in deed a few years ago I researched dogs for about 6 months, my requirements were:
(1) Great with children
(2) Family protector and guard dog
(3) a dog that doesn't shed
(4) very intelligent
(5) wary of strangers but not aggressive unless a family member was being attacked

There were was one breed that met all of these requirements the Cane Corso (pronounced Connie Corso)...the Sicilian Mastiff, the oldest bred of dog known to man and the pinancle breed from which all other dog breeds decended. Needless to say I still don't own a dog but if and when I purchase a dog this will be the breed. I have owned dobermans, Irish Setters, St. Bernards, mixed breeds, etc. but after going to a top breeder of the Cane Corso breed in PA (Roman Cane Corse) I fell in love with these dogs immediately. You have a great dog I'll bet I am very jealous.
