i have a non dSLR camera, but its a nikon 8700 still takes pretty good pics, much better then a reg point & shoot

the dog is great, the camera on the other hand has a pretty bad dynamic range problem. black dog + sun soaked patio = trouble for almost any camera. If it meters for the patio, the dog is too dark, if it meters for the dog, the patio gets blown out.... tough lighting to take pictures in.

FYI-the better the quality of food, the smaller the pile. Science Diet piles are about 1/2 the size of cheap food.
