what kind of processor does it use?

the machine will not shutdown at 100f, average equipment in computers run from 70F-110F

processor usually fry over 120c but its not possible to get this high really. It could be your temp module is faulty.

90C is close to 200F, i wouldn't turn that machine back on until you've made sure that the fans are working and you've put the right type of RAM in it.

If it was the real temp the processor would lock up. I doubt its really doubt its 90c tho, however there are cases of the intel Ms running up to 100C, over that its usually gets some type of damage. Im guessing bios is incorrectly reporting the temp.

don't worry intel M's will shut down if it hits 100C, they can work up till that point.

No idea of the accuracy of the temp reading but my keyboard is fairly warm, and the bottom of the laptop is pretty damn hot.

I wouldn't worry about it, Intel M usually run quite hot, but if the temp get to hot your labtop will freeze up or the processor will shut the machine down till it cools down again. Intel M can run up too 100C, major damage happens after 120C, im talking on the die temp, the safety on the intel M is at 100C. If you really paranoid get one of those usb, coolers which you can clip on to the bottom of the labtop
